Country Specific Article Directories are Good for Localized SEO

The SEO and traffic generating benefits of article marketing are very well known. The bio-box links that you get with each of your articles can really help lift your search engine rankings, particularly if the article directories you're using are themselves highly regarded by Google. Sites like Ezine Articles and Idea Marketers are often cited as the best for this purpose. While this is definitely good advice, article marketers shouldn't ignore the many smaller, less established niche article directories. One theme that is becoming increasingly popular is for directories to cater to particular countries. Some even have categories for articles about particular states and territories. (I suspect there may even be ones for individual cities, although as yet I haven't seen any.) Even if the article directory in question has a low page rank and not much content, Google will take into account its geographical focus, and associated that with the links you are including in your author bio-box. Needless to say this can be very useful if you want to get local, geo-targeted traffic. So it's definitely worth Googling for these geo-specific article directories from time to time. There may not be any catering to your particular country right now. But unless you live in a tiny nation, there are sure to be some before too long. |
